Omar Abdullah runs 21km at the Kashmir Marathon and comes first!
Omar Abdullah, Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, ran in the first marathon in Kashmir’s scenic beauty, and he was watching running near Kashmir Dal Lake.
Today, he shared some videos on X.com while he was running, and he said, “I’m so damn pleased with myself today. I completed the Kashmir Half Marathon – 21 KM at an average pace of 5 min 54 sec per KM. I’ve never run more than 13 KM in my life & that too only ever once. Today I just kept going, propelled by the enthusiasm of other amateur runners like myself. No proper training, no running plan, no nutrition. Picked up a banana & a couple of khajoor along the way. The best part was running past my home with family & others out to cheer me on.”
A few days ago, Omar Abdullah became the chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, and today, a great initiative like the Kashmir Marathon will boost the valley’s visitors.
Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty also participated in this Kashmir Marathon, and the chief minister praised its significance.
Historic Day for Jammu and Kashmir: 1700 nationwide runners and 12 Foreign nationals participated in the Kashmir Marathon.
